Procedure

Conditions

Full driving licence required (not provisional).

Reservation

You confirm the booking and I reserve the van for you. You pay a down payment of 50% of the rental fee (up to a maximum of € 500,-) no later than 4 weeks before pick-up. Without making the down payment you are not entitled to the van. In the event of a cancellation I will return the money. For cancellation fees and detailed conditions please refer to the General Terms and Conditions.

Payment

I do not accept credit or debit cards. You have to pay the deposit and the rental fee (less the advance payment already received) in advance, either in cash at the pick-up or by bank transfer beforehand.

Pick-up

I'll sign the contract at the pick-up. For the contract I need the details of at least one driver and a copy of his/her driver's licence and identity card. There are no extra costs for additional drivers.

Please make an appointment with me for the pick-up and the return of the van a few days in advance. You'll pick up the van at my home address. I can deliver or collect the van from another location for an additional fee if required.

If you plan going to London/UK

Please talk to me about that, because not all of the Diesel vans are permitted to drive in Central London because of environmental zone restrictions in place there.

On tour

Please call me immediately in case of an accident or if mechanical problems occur.

Please don't forget to check the oil level at least every 1000 kilometers and top it up if necessary! You will find oil in the van.

It's also very important to check the tyre pressure regularly! When carrying loads, it's essential that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure. The required pressure will depend on whether the vehicle is laden or unladen. The correct settings can be found in the vehicle manufacturer's handbook. Repeated scuffing of tyres against curbs can cause damage and rapid or irregular wear to tyres so they need to be checked regularly for signs of wear, damage and misalignment. Tyre damages are excluded from the insurance. By keeping your tyres at their optimum pressure, your running costs are also reduced.
